Bruce Lessin, MD practices general internal medicine for adult patients of all ages. He is board-certified with decades of experience providing compassionate, personalized care.

He has been recognized multiples times as one of the top physicians in the Washington, DC area. His convenient office is located in McLean, VA / Tysons Corner - just 20 minutes outside of Washington, DC. In December 2024, Dr. Lessin received the 'Best of McLean' Award, recognized for outstanding patient satisfaction based on recent online reviews.

His medical practice includes comprehensive annual evaluations and regular follow-up visits, addressing a wide range of health concerns. He has special expertise in managing common conditions such as high blood pressure, cholesterol disorders, heart disease, weight management, arthritis, and diabetes.

Dr. Lessin is deeply committed to evaluating each patient's full medical history and overall health. He takes time to deliver individualized medical assessments and is passionate about educating his patients on their conditions. His approach emphasizes thoughtful communication, preventive care, and close follow-up to support long-term well-being.

Dr. Lessin earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed his internship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University. He received additional specialty training in nephrology at Georgetown and is board-certified in both internal medicine and nephrology.

During the Vietnam War era, he served as a medical officer in the U.S. Navy, where he was promoted from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander after just one year of active duty.

Dr. Lessin accepts new patients and greatly enjoys meeting new patients and treating their medical problems. He believes strongly that education is an important aspect and takes the time with every patient to fully understand the medical condition and then to explain the recommended course of action to them. He also believes strongly in preventative health measures.

Our Practice

We provide comprehensive internal medicine services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and diagnostic evaluations. Dr. Lessin accepts most major insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield and Medicare.
